Glassfibre Products Ltd, based in the lovely Caribbean island of Barbados, is owned by ex-pat Colin Appleby. Colin relocated to Barbados at the turnover of the millennium and has traded with Gazechim Composites UK for over 12 years.
Supplying general laminating products to trade and retail all over the island, Glassfibre Products also has a production facility. Producing mainly building products such as Canopies, Dormers, etc, to the domestic and tourist market. There is also a market for ornate lamppost, supplied mainly to the many hotel complexes. The production team at Glassfibre Products Ltd have been working with Colin for many of the 23 years the business has been operating, building up a strong level of moulding expertise.
Colin had been a colleague of Steve Cameron, Gazechim Composites UK Business Manager, in UK composite distribution market for over 40 years. “Trading with Gazechim not only brings the outstanding quality range of Polynt and Owens Corning products to the market in Barbados” Colin said. “But also working with the experienced Gazechim team gives the business
support in the market to reinforce a quality service meeting the customer’s expectations” he continues.
Recent introductions to the business are Colin’s son David and Shanice Baker. Both appointments have been made to continue the development and growth of the business. Exports to other islands and increased product range are firmly in future plans.
