In 1937 Roger Rouayroux founded 'L'Anhydride
Sulfureux Francais' (the French Sulphur Dioxide Company) in
Beziers, and this company later became known as Gazechim.
For a long time Gazechim was associated with the big names
of the French chemical industry (eg. Pechiney, Rhone Poulenc),
and in 1991 it once again became a 100% family-owned business.
Since the company was founded, Gazechim has
seen its activities go from strength to strength :
- 1937 : conditioning and distribution of liquefied gases
: ammonia, chlorine, sulphur
dioxide, hydrochloric dioxide acid
- 1967 : exportation of liquefied
gases and chemical products
- 1973 : distribution of thermoplastic
materials
- 1975 : distribution of composite
materials
- 1992 : conditioning and distribution
of refrigerating fluids
